Construction Managers & Contractors — Ireland & UK
Delivering certainty in
complex construction.
Our Story
Built on delivery certainty.
Progressing with trust.
Conroy is a general contractor and construction manager delivering across five sectors in Ireland and the UK. Established in 1991 by Martin Conroy, the business has built its reputation over three decades on reliable delivery, strong subcontractor relationships, and the operational discipline that comes from sustained, project-by-project accountability.
Today, the business delivers across five sectors — industrial, logistics & manufacturing, commercial, pharmaceutical, critical environments, and interiors — where construction quality and programme certainty determine the outcome. It is a deliberate focus, built on a foundation that was thirty years in the making.
Martin Conroy establishes the business as a general contractor in Dublin. The early years are defined by hands-on site management, repeat client relationships, and the operational discipline that comes from building a business project by project.
Conroy builds its subcontractor network and delivery systems through twenty years of continuous operation across every phase of the Irish construction market. The supply chain relationships, procurement processes, and commercial discipline established during this period are the foundation the business operates on today.
James Conroy joins the business as Director, bringing experience from large-scale construction across programme-critical environments. The business delivers across five sectors — Industrial, Logistics & Manufacturing, Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Critical Environments, and Interiors — with ISO-aligned management systems, a BIM execution framework, 4D programme controls, and a pre-qualified supply chain of 376 specialist partners in place. Conroy is currently active and delivering across all five sectors in Ireland, U.K and Europe.
Pre-Construction
Strong delivery starts
before a spade breaks ground.
Our pre-construction team identifies and resolves risk at the earliest stage.
Our Focus
Five sectors.
One delivery standard.
Each of these sectors requires construction delivered to precise specifications, on structured programmes, in technically complex environments. Every system, process, and supply chain relationship in the business is built to support them.
How We Operate
Five principles.
Applied consistently.
These principles govern how Conroy takes on work, delivers projects, and manages challenges. They apply across every level of the business — from directors to project teams to supply chain partners.
Every project begins with a structured review of technical, regulatory, and programme risk. Early engagement at RIBA Stage 2 or 3 delivers the strongest outcomes — because pre-construction is where scope, budget, and programme logic are tested and validated.
One named director is commercially and contractually accountable from appointment to handover. The person the client calls is the person responsible for the outcome — providing continuity, clarity, and direct access to decision-making throughout.
Cost plans, programme status, and risk registers are live documents — updated in real time and shared openly. Clients have full visibility of programme and cost position at every stage, enabling informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
The same people, systems, and discipline are applied whether we're appointed on Design & Build, Traditional, or Management Contracting. The standard is always determined by what the project requires.
Before any tender, we assess whether we have the people, supply chain, technical knowledge, and capacity to deliver to the standard the project demands. We manage our workload deliberately so that every client receives the full commitment and resources of the business.
Leadership
The people
accountable for delivery.
Conroy's leadership brings together over thirty-five years of Irish construction experience with the commercial rigour and delivery discipline that complex projects require. Director-led from pre-construction through to practical completion — ensuring continuity of knowledge and direct accountability throughout.
James leads all commercial, technical, and operational functions of the business. He is responsible for strategy, business development, pre-construction, and client delivery — and is the direct point of accountability on every project Conroy undertakes. His background spans large-scale construction across industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, and critical environments, and he holds chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Building.
Martin founded Conroy in 1991 and has led the business through over three decades of Irish construction — building the supply chain relationships, commercial reputation, and operational credibility that underpin the business today. As Chairman, he provides strategic oversight and maintains the client and partner relationships built over 30 years.
Work With Us
If your industry depends
on the facility — let's talk.
Conroy delivers the strongest outcomes when engaged early — at the pre-construction stage, when programme, cost, and technical risk can still be shaped. If you have a project in any of our sectors, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can add value.
