The quality of a construction project is determined by the capability of the supply chain delivering it. Every subcontractor, every specialist supplier, and every trade package contributes to the final outcome — and pre-qualification is how we ensure that contribution meets the standard our projects require.

At Conroy, supply chain pre-qualification is a structured, ongoing process. It is how we build and maintain a register of partners whose technical competence, safety performance, and quality standards align with the demands of the six sectors we deliver across.

Our assessment criteria

Every subcontractor and specialist supplier is assessed against a consistent set of criteria before they are approved to work on a Conroy project. Technical competence and relevant sector experience are the starting point — we need partners who understand the environments we build in, whether that is an industrial warehouse, a pharmaceutical cleanroom, or a live data centre.

Health and safety is assessed in detail. We review management systems, incident records, training programmes, and site-specific capability. Quality systems and relevant certifications are verified. Financial stability is assessed to ensure continuity of delivery. Insurance cover and contractual compliance are confirmed. References from comparable projects are requested and followed up.

Ongoing performance management

Pre-qualification is the beginning of the relationship, not the end. Every subcontractor's performance is monitored on every project — safety compliance, quality of workmanship, programme reliability, and the standard of their site management.

This performance data informs future appointments. Partners who consistently deliver to the required standard are retained and developed. Where performance falls below the expected level, it is addressed directly and constructively. Our supply chain register is a live document — maintained, reviewed, and updated based on demonstrated delivery.
